8 months of Brinley Claire in my life!

On Friday, May 10th...my sweet butterball of a baby turned 8 months old. I have loved watching Brinley grow into a (mostly) happy, sweet, funny, chunky, adorable nugget. And I absolutely love watching her and big sis Lily Kate play and laugh together. Lily has really had a turn-around in the last 2 months. She can't get enough "Baby"! She asks to hold her, she kisses her, hugs her, tickles her, and even says I love you without being prompted. It makes my heart want to explode! Lily still has her moments of jealousy...mostly in the mornings when she's cranky and I'm holding Baby and not her. Lily will whine and cry and reach for me and say, "Hold me mama, hold me mama, hold me mama, ah me, ah me, ah me." I think we've decoded "Ah me: to be the slurred together version of "Hold me". :) But aside from those moments of Lily wanting to be the baby in the family again, the sister bond is strong and growing between my two little ladies.

Diaper size- 4 (Same as Lily, although Lily really should be in 5's if I continue to be lazy about potty training instead!)

Clothing size- I'm still putting her in some size 6-9 month sleepers but the snaps tend to pop apart when she stretches her legs (fat girl moment, hehe), but mainly 9 and 12 month clothes fit her best.

Nicknames- Brin, BC, Chunky Monkey, Chunks, Nugget, Nugs, No Hair Brinley Claire, Happy Daddy, Munch/Munch-Munch/Munchies, Evil Baby (mostly just in photos when she gives a certain look), Tub of Goo, and just plan Baby.

Speaking of names, Lily is all about talking about "Baby Emma", and can say that name clear as day, but has yet to even attempt saying the name "Brinley"...it's OK, "Baby" is just fine with me for now. :) We're working on "Sissy", but that one is slow on the uptake as well.

I attempted Brinley's 8 month "sticker photos" last night (let's see...it was Monday, May 13th...only 3 days late--not bad!) Brinley of course tried to eat the sticker again...
