1) I am SOOO sad over the sudden death of the Radio DJ, Kidd Kraddick. So, so sad. I have been listening to Kidd Kraddick in the morning for years now, and Clint and I really feel like we know the cast of the show. We often email each other from work to comment on things we heard on the show that morning and reference jokes from shows in the past. Kidd, Kellie, Big Al, J-Si, Jenna, and Taylor (when she was on the show) are household names for us. On Monday morning at 8 am I borrowed my co-worker's radio to listen to the reactions of the other members of the show. I was crying. And Clint was too I bet. We kept emailing back and forth touching moments from the untimely "tribute" show. Clint said that Shannon was talking about Kidd being in heaven with all of the Kidd's kids who have passed and he was getting choked up. Headlines are saying things like "Kidd's Kraddicks's cause of death is almost poetic" because it appears Kidd died due to an enlarged heart. Ugh. So, so sad.

2) On a happier note, my best friend Jess's adorable son Colt turned one last Sunday and we will be traveling up to Cartersville, GA on Friday for his 1st bday party weekend. CAN'T. WAIT! It is going to be a blast and I'm so excited to see my bestie and the birthday boy (And her parents and hubby too!)
(Stolen from Jess's facebook...how cute is this kid?!)
On a side note, I was watching the TV show Catfish on MTV tonight (because I'm 13) and the guy lived in Cartersville, GA and was "catfished" by a girl named Jeszica....who was really Alicia. I was cracking up...and I now have a new ghetto-fabulous way of spelling Jess's name. Winning. :)
3) I'm going through a dry spell with my TV watching. "Camp" (which I thought I would like) is disappointing because I just can't get past how ridiculously unrealistic the show is. And the girl with the short hair is incredibly annoying. So...the best things I'm watching are the "black shows" my co-worker Charmaine got me hooked on, lol: "Tyler Perry's The Haves and the have Nots", "Hit the Floor", and "Love and Hip Hop Atlanta". The perk is that gives us something fun to talk about on 15 minute walk breaks in the morning. The other perk is that I watch the shows right before bed and have dreams that I'm the only white girl at hip hop concerts and places like that and I'm doing totally uncharacteristic things like getting scrappy with girls who get in my business and such. That's kind of fantastic.
(This one is my favorite!)
4) I have done a Sesame Street puzzle of Abby approximately 3,462 times in the last 24 hours with Lily. I have every detail of every piece memorized and could do the puzzle with my eyes closed. It was kind of fun at first because I've always loved puzzles, but now I'm wishing I could do my own puzzles. Of anything but Sesame Street.
5) I'm finally reading a book I enjoy! Inferno by Dan Brown per Clint's suggestion. Its fun when we read the same books (Harry Potters, Hunger Games, and now the 4th Dan Brown book) so we can dish about them. Or in the case of Dan Brown books, I can ask Clint questions. A lot of the historical references go over my head. It took me about 50 pages to decide if I liked Inferno, but now I do and I'm enjoying the rare times that I get to read uninterrupted (or without falling asleep!)
And now for some pictures of what my little loves have been up to this week...
One of the Abby pieces was lost for a day. Lily did the honor of putting in the last piece when it was recovered from under the couch. All these puzzles and no missing pieces...kind of a miracle in my messy house!
Minnie mouse bathing suits
Neither were in the mood for pictures..
Hot. Mess.
Lily taught Brinley how to finger paint. It was pretty sweet.
That's all for now...I'll be back after our Atlanta/Cartersville trip with fun pictures I hope!
