Princess Mabel resumes public appearance

Princess Mabel joins Crown Princess Maxima
a concert in London

With her sister-in-law Princess Maxima’s support, Princess Mabel made her first public appearance since her husband’s accident.

The blonde 43-year-old princess, with her anguish still noticeable, visited the Barbican Theatre in London to watch a concert by the Dutch Royal Concertgebuw Orchestra. The princess, with her daughters Luana and Zaria resides in London.  

Her husband, Prince Johan Friso, remains in coma since after an avalanche that buried him under snow for 15 minutes last Feb. 17. He is now being cared at London’s Wellington Hospital, where his wife and family visits him regularly. Queen Beatrix herself goes to London every week to check on her son.
