LK at 19 months

I didn't get to post what Lily Kate has been up to at 19 months because she turned 19 mos on the day I had Brinley. And two RSV diagnoses and a work trip for Clint later, I havent had much time to blog. But I have managed to take some pictures of my sweet and goofy girl. I'm going to keep documenting what her milestones until she's 2 and make her a book for her 2nd birthday. I will probably do the same for Brinley...although both girls hit a new month on the 10th, so I'll have to try hard to keep up!

Lily is obsessed with pretending to talk on the phone, she usually grabs my phone and says "Mama, Dada, Hi, Byeeeee!" If she can't find a cell phone, a remote works too =)

Now that I have the baby, I have to find ways to occupy LK so I can feed and change the baby. Lily loves to draw with pens! She sings her worker bee song (Ahhhhhhh) and focuses very intently. Here LK is with turkey, milk, juice, and her pen and notepad...she is good to go for a while.

Lily is getting more and more bossy, which is usually pretty funny, but we dont want her to develop bad manners this early on. She says "Move!" a lot to us or Pugsley...with prompting she'll say "Move, please!" She also likes instructing people where to sit. Here Lily is pointing to the spot next to her on the stool, telling mama to sit. Its pretty cute!

 

LK will "read" books on her own now, especially if there are flaps to lift. "Where is Baby's Mommy?" is still a favorite.

Lily has gotten much better at doing puzzles. A few months ago, she would get very mad and frustrated if she couldnt get the piece to fit and she would bang it and scream. Now, she understands the concept of turning the piece until it fits and not totally losing it (for the most part!)

Lily has become more and more affectionate. She loves Pugsley and gives him kisses and hugs everyday. Above, Lily is ready to love on her puppy...Pugsley looks terrified, lol.

LK and I went to a costume birthday party for my friend Tera on Oct 6th. I happened to have clothes that matched and we had matching fairy wings. Lily wore then until she realized they were there and then they had to go. Above- Clint is getting Lily's attention with a bubble wand, so she is pretending to blow bubbles, haha.

And of course the biggest milestone of Lily turning 19 months was becoming a big sister on September 10, 2012. Here is the first picture we took of Lily meeting her little sister.
