Labor Day Weekend, LK's 18 month photos

I have been like the paparazzi over the last week, following Lily around with my camera and enjoying my last week with her before I have two babies to love on. Taking this week off before the baby comes has been one of the best decisions ever! Today, I admit, Lily is at school so I can rest and clean the house. But every other day this week has been about playing with LK. It was nice to have Clint home with us on Monday too for labor day. Here's what we've been up to....

On Sunday, I really wanted to let Lily try playing with Jello and Playdough to see if she liked it. I had ambitions of making my own playdough, but then I found it on sale at Micheal's, so that sold me. :) I took an excessive amount of photos of Lily playing, I can tell I'm overdoing it a bit this last week and clinging to this time spent with just my baby girl.

Pugsley was very interested in this venture...

These cookie cutters are really for playdough...they made some struggling-looking Jello letters. :)

Feeding daddy is fun!

Hooray for jello!!

Lily had a good time using the playdough shapes...she was very focused. I couldnt really get her to look up for pictures. :)

On Monday (labor day) we went to my parent's house for a cookout and playtime with Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Keith. Lily had a blast with this simple fort, she made grandpa crawl through it too. :)

                                                                            Peek-a-boo!

Lily's new favorite game is 'Duck, Duck, Goose'. She'll pat you on the head and say "Duck! Duck!" and we'll yell "Goose!" and chase her...she cracks up!

                                                              Fun with grandpa...

On Tuesday 9/4/12, I met with Paige to attempt Lily's 18 month photos at the Pedrick and Mahan lake near our house. This photo below sums up how Lily felt about the photo session!

The crying and fussing was followed by Lily wanting to be snuggled by mama with a pacifier. I appreciate my little snuggle bug, but it didnt make for very good photos.

On Wednesday, Sept 5th, we tried again..this time at 8 am (instead of 8:30), which was cooler (thank goodness!) and we enlisted the help of Daddy. Not exactly a smile below, but at least she isnt crying! :) Paige is coming over in a week or two to do newborn photos and she will bring me the disc from LK at 18 mos...I have a feeling there will be some very funny meltdown pictures to post!

Lily and I at the house Wednesday morning before we headed around the corner for pictures. You can tell how HUGE my belly is at 38.5 weeks, whoa!

                                                              My pretty little princess!

After photo session #2 and a trip to TPD to install/adjust carseats, my dad joined Lily and I at music time at the library. Lily was in a silly mood....she wanted to roll around on the ground instead of doing the hand motions with me.

                                                            Looking for her paci....

Lily kept walking out of music time to come play in the baby toy room

Lily's favorite thing to do at the library...pull books of the shelf!

4 days to go until baby #2 arrives, I can hardly wait! Today is 8 days before my due date...which is how far I was when I had Lily. I would get excited, but I wasn't dilated at all yesterday at my OB appt, so it's looking like the baby will stay put until Monday. But I guess I could get a surprise this weekend!
